Track saws are capable of cutting either horizontally or vertically, fixed on to a wall or floor. SMS Wales use the latest high frequency Husqvarna electronic equipment remotely controlled. Track mounted wall saws are light in weight and cut clean up to 530mm in concrete and stone, giving precise dimensional door, vent and window openings. The high frequency track saw has a 3 phase electric power unit controlling a 3 phase power head, which is operated by remote control, allowing the operator to be positioned away from the cutting operation. The cutting is carried out by making a series of passes along the length being cut, until the correct depth is achieved

Wire sawing works by using a beaded diamond wire wrapped around the item to be cut and then through a series of pulleys, allowing virtually any depth or shape of structure to be cut. The wire is cooled by free flowing water at all times, this helps with the cutting and keeps the electric motors from overheating. The wire is pulled through the structure and any excess wire is then stored around the pulley system. This method is extremely useful in cutting through steel pipes when carrying out renewal works by water companies.

Wire sawing is ideal for cutting larger sections of masonry, reinforced concrete or stone, as there are very few restrictions on the size and depth of openings. This is a fast method of cutting, with low noise emissions. Wire sawing can be carried out horizontally or vertically for any awkward shapes making this an extremely versatile cutting method
